Google Clock 7.13 for Android Begins Rolling Out via Play Store

Latest Clock Update Brings Stability Improvements, No Major Visual Changes

Google is rolling out version 7.13 of its Clock app for Android devices, following the recent release of Calculator 8.7. As of April 28, 2025, both updates have become widely available through the Play Store, though Clock 7.13 does not introduce any significant user-facing changes.

The previous major release, version 7.10, launched in October 2024. Since then, users have been awaiting additional features such as the Timer Starter widget, which first appeared on Pixel Tablets and later on Pixel phones in March 2025. However, the Timer Starter widget remains absent from this latest update.

Timer Starter Widget Still Missing

Despite user interest, Google Clock 7.13 does not include the Timer Starter widget. This tool, which allows users to quickly start one of their last three timers or create a new one directly from the homescreen, remains exclusive to certain Pixel devices for now. The widget is available in multiple sizes and offers a convenient way to manage timers.

While the feature has not yet reached non-Pixel devices, it could still arrive via a future server-side update. The current version continues to offer five widgets: World Clock, Analog Clock, Digital Clock, Stacked Clock, and Stopwatch.

Availability and Pixel-Exclusive Features

The rollout of Google Clock 7.13 has now expanded broadly across the Play Store, although early access varied depending on region and device. Users on devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 report no visible new features beyond general stability and maintenance improvements.

It’s worth noting that certain functionalities, like weather integration within the Clock app, remain exclusive to Pixel devices, powered separately by the Pixel Weather app.
