Over 7,000 Rural Women Join Sakhi Utsav 2025, Pledge Empowerment

Udaipur, April 19, 2025 – Hindustan Zinc Limited successfully hosted Sakhi Utsav 2025, bringing together over 7,000 rural and tribal women from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand to celebrate and promote women’s empowerment through entrepreneurship, skill-building, and financial literacy.

The event was held across Udaipur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, and Rudrapur, featuring cultural performances, skill showcases, street plays, and interactive sessions. The grand finale, Sakhi Mahotsav, took place at Zinc City, Udaipur, presenting Rajasthan’s culture through a women-centric lens.

CEO Arun Misra said, “Sakhi women are transforming rural India. Their strength and entrepreneurial drive reflect Hindustan Zinc’s vision for inclusive development.”

Under the Sakhi initiative, over 25,000 women have benefited from self-help groups and micro-enterprise support. Hindustan Zinc’s broader CSR programs impact 20 lakh people in 4,000 villages, with a focus on education, livelihood, health, and sustainability.
