Kottayam: Senior Congress functionary P J Kurien said that if anyone thought Shashi Tharoor was moving towards the BJP, then it should not be doubted. Kurien told a TV news channel in Pathanamthitta on Monday that Tharoor was always lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and not pointing out his flaws. From this, Tharoor's biased attitude is clear, said Kurien.
Kurien also said there was nothing wrong in approving Modi's good deeds. He also said that the govt made Tharoor the chief of the delegation because he was an MP. If he was not an MP, he would not have been made. He is eligible for that as he is an expert in foreign affairs and policies. But Tharoor should keep in mind that he became MP on a Congress ticket, said Kurien. So he must act according to the policies of the Congress party. Kurien also said Tharoor should have sought the Congress party's permission and he would surely have been granted it, said Kurien.
