After the game, head coach Steve Kerr told the reporters that he hoped Kuminga will continue to start for the team in the future.
He said:
“He’ll be our starter going forward... He’s been fantastic. Last night we put him on Ja (Morant). Tonight, we put him on James Harden. I think he’s ready."
Kerr claims that Kuminga's shot selection has improved, making him an essential starter for the Warriors. He also liked how the 23-year-old forward, who had trouble recovering from a sprained ankle the previous season, had developed relationships with other players.
