When will Marvel Rivals Season 2 end and Season 3 begin

Send Push
Marvel Rivals is right now on a roll because of its Season 2: Hellfire. Before the release of the game, everyone thought it would succumb due to the overcongestion in the hero-shooter genre, just like Concord. But this game proved everyone wrong and went on to become one of the most played titles in the world right now.

And the huge anticipation regarding Season 3, that too just one day after the release of Season 2, speaks volume about the popularity of the game. However, there’s no concrete answer to that question of when Season 3 is coming or how long Season 2 will continue, but we can speculate this for sure.

Marvel Rivals: Season 2 end date and Season 3 starting date

It’s been just over 24 hours since NetEase Games dropped Season 2: Hellfire Gala in Marvel Rivals. So, there’s no way the developers are going to confirm anything about Season 3. We even don’t know much about the mid season refresh, Season 2.5, except for the arrival of Ultron. As NetEase has tried to establish itself and satisfy player demand, no two seasons of Marvel Rivals have been the same thus far. The developer has opted to do away with the idea of releasing two characters over a three-month period for Season 3 and beyond.

Now the main question: How long will Season 2 continue and when will we get to see Season 3? Season 2 has been launched on April 11, 2025. As per the game’s previous seasonal format, every season generally runs approximately up to three months or so and each season is divided into two halves. According to that calculation, Season 2 might end in early to mid July 2025, with the mid season update is speculated to be launched around the last week of May. That means, Season 3 might be surfacing into the game in the third week of July.

Now here’s a twist. As previously mentioned, developers of Marvel Rivals has decided to cut short the span of each season to two months from the usual three month structure. If that’s the case, then the whole thing is going to be a lot different. This formula has been taken into consideration because NetEase wants to introduce a hero in each season.

It will be interesting to observe how quickly new characters get incorporated into the meta, especially since it has been revealed that future seasons would include a new character every month. Theoretically, Marvel Rivals could include any two characters in any season, but Hellfire Gala appears to offer a tidy template that subsequent seasons may use.
