Following the death of Ncuti Gatwa’s character of the Doctor, in Doctor Who Season 2, the pivotal scene gave way to Billie Piper's character of Rose Tyler presumably taking on the reigns.

Who is Rose Tyler in the ‘Doctor Who’ universe?Tyler was reintroduced in the latest series; however, she originally entered the ‘Doctor Who’ universe all the way back in 2005 when the show was first relaunched. The character played by Billie Piper starred and worked alongside the ninth and tenth doctors - Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, respectively.
How was Rose Tyler introduced back into the show?Rose Tyler’s character got reintroduced in the latest edition of ‘Doctor Who’ after Ncuti’s character sacrificed himself. He was then seen covered with a bright light which slowly transformed him into Billie Piper! The show also ended with the text “Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor. Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor. And introducing Billie Piper,” floating on the blank screen.
A major hit among fansPiper’s role became a major hit amongst fans at the time as she went from a shop girl to becoming the doctor’s assistant through travel in space and time. Her run in the show lasted for only two seasons, even though she became the fan favourite.
She was last seen as a main character in 2006 when she got trapped in a parallel universe. The actress has reprised her role as Rose on some occasions throughout the years; however, her return to the ‘Doctor Who’ universe seems to be something different.
BBC teased about her return by saying, “Just how and why she [Billie Piper] is back remains to be seen…” and confused fans further on what the future holds for the show and how Rose will be reintroduced in the timeline.
