Nick Jonas is soaking up the joys of New York City, especially as he gets to spend quality time with his wife Priyanka Chopra and their daughter, Malti Marie. While attending the opening night of his Broadway musical The Last Five Years, the 32-year-old singer shared that living in one place after a whirlwind of travel has been a refreshing change.
Nick Jonas enjoys NYC life with Priyanka and Malti Marie
Speaking to People magazine, he said Malti enjoys being in New York and that the stability has been good for their family. “We’re so used to being in 10 different cities in 10 different days. And so to be in one place and have this time together has been really nice,” Nick shared.
Malti, who is 2.5 years old, has also been a regular visitor to the theatre where Jonas has been rehearsing. Though she hasn't watched a full performance, she often drops in during his practice sessions, gradually getting accustomed to her surroundings. Nick said they’ve been exploring the city with her and keeping her active, even as he and Priyanka juggle busy schedules. Despite their professional commitments, they make sure to carve out time for each other and their daughter.
Nick on fatherhood
Reflecting on his experience as a father, Nick confessed that the most grounding part of his life is coming home to Malti. Smiling, he told People, “You could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn't care at all.” For her, he’s not a pop star or Broadway lead — he’s just Dad.

He added that the most special moments are the simplest ones — like playing Moana and Maui with her. That time, he said, means more to him than anything else.
Just recently, Nick shared a sweet “girl dad” moment on Instagram. He posted a picture of himself donning one of Malti’s hairbows and a flower clip, standing against a background of pink balloons. The caption read simply, “Girl dad life.”
