.JAIPUR/SIKAR: A Dalit youth in the Fatehpur area of Sikar alleged that two local men abducted him on April 8 and subjected him to severe physical and sexual assault, including forced unnatural acts and casteist slurs.

The youth's family filed an FIR on April 16, stating the accused urinated on him, struck him with a liquor bottle, and threatened him with dire consequences if he spoke about the incident.

According to the FIR, the victim left his house to watch a wedding procession in his village when the accused approached him on the pretext of some work at the bus stand. He alleged they took him to a secluded location and kicked, punched, and slapped him, targeting his private parts. The victim said they intended to harm his father, who is abroad, and declared it was now his turn.

The youth reported that they forced him to remove his pants before committing unnatural acts and hurled casteist slurs at him. He alleged that both were under the influence of alcohol. Two young men from a nearby settlement eventually rescued him, but the youth did not inform his family initially because of the "shame and trauma".

The accused claimed to have recorded a video of the assault and threatened him to circulate it on social media. When he began experiencing severe pain and difficulty performing basic bodily functions, he confided to his family. They immediately took him to the police station and registered a case against the two accused youths.

Police registered a case under various sections, including the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act. Fatehpur DSP Arvind Kumar Jat said, "A Dalit youth has registered a case alleging he was subjected to casteist slurs, unnatural acts, and assault."

The FIR emerged just before Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's visit to Sikar on Saturday offering the opposition Congress a chance to corner the BJP govt. Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot wrote on X that he hoped the CM, while touring Sikar, would meet the Dalit youth. "The trauma was so severe that the young man was unable to register a complaint for eight days," Gehlot wrote.

Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully, Congress' Dalit face in the state, said the incident was the "reality of today's Rajasthan". Citing the Sikar incident, Jully said, "A Dalit youth was kidnapped, his private parts were attacked, head was struck with a bottle, he was sodomised and urinated upon. This is not a story from a film, this is the reality of today's Rajasthan. This incident of brutality is shameful."

(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
