A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted outside a restaurant in a busy UK city centre. Police said the victim is "very shaken" after reportedly being kissed without consent, and officers are now appealing to the public for information.
Investigating officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify in connection with the alleged sexual assault in Nottingham. They said the man "will be able to assist them" and are urging anyone who may know him to get in touch.
Nottinghamshire Police said the woman was sexually assaulted outside a restaurant in Goose Gate on August 26. A man reportedly approached her and kissed her without consent, before slapping her in the face.
PC James Anderton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "These actions are completely unacceptable and understandably left the victim very shaken. We take all reports of sexual assaults seriously and we really want to speak to the man in the image as part of the investigation."
The force added: "Anyone who recognises the man pictured is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting crime number 25*514254. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
It comes after Nottinghamshire Police launched an appeal at the end of September following a reported sexual assault on a teenage girl in Nottingham. The force said she was allegedly attacked in Goodliffe Street, New Basford, at about 8pm on Wednesday, September 17.
Det Cons Holly James from Nottinghamshire Police previously said: "As with all incidents of this nature, our priority has been the welfare of the victim. She is currently being supported by specially trained officers, while we continue to investigate what happened.
"We want to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of the tram stop in Shipstone Street or Goodliffe Street, around 8pm on Wednesday.
"We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause and uniformed officers will be in the area to offer reassurance and support."
