A presenter took a massive swipe at the on Saturday morning as he branded them "embarrassing". Migration expert, Mike Jones, appeared on the news channel to speak to Anne Diamond and Stephen Dixon about the government's latest moves on immigration.
The commentator ripped into Sir Keir Starmer and his government, as he said: "Records are being smashed this year because the gangs smashing Sir Keir Starmer, rather than the other way round. You know, more than 25,000 migrants have come into Britain since Labour took power. We've had a record breaking year for the first quarter of 2025."

He added: "We've seen more than 700 people in one day and around 2,000 people crossing the Channel this week. You know, that's the state of play. It's a grim state of affairs." The commentator also said that he "doesn't see the situation improving".
Presenter Anne Diamond said that it is "embarrassing" for the government, as the guest replied: "For sure, yes. It's politically embarrassing from an electoral perspective. It's disastrous for Labour. But at the end of the day, they don't really want to put the reforms in place that will solve this crisis."
Mr Jones went on to say that instead of fixing things, Labour are just "shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic at this moment in time."
"Labour has made some small progress," he added, "but you need a lot more. You need a deterrent effect and a detain and deport policy in place where there's a steady rythym of people being returned to their country of origin. But we don't have that, hence the Channel migrant crisis continuing."
At least 78 people died last year, trying to cross the Channel, while some charities warned the death toll may have been higher. Home Office figures revealed 211 migrants arrived on three boats on Thursday - an average of 70 per boat.
Some 705 migrants arrived in the UK on Tuesday after crossing the English Channel on 12 boats. It is the highest number of arrivals on a single day so far this year.
The cumulative number of arrivals by small boats in 2025 now stands at a provisional total of 9,099.
