CBS News is trying to make nice with Donald Trump after writing him a $16 million check.
On Friday, President Trump sat down for a fresh 60 Minutes interview with Norah O'Donnell in Florida.
That might sound normal, until you go back to last year when Trump sued CBS less than a year ago. In October 2024, he took the network to court, claiming they had heavily edited a segment with Kamala Harris to favor Democrats.

Fast-forward to July, CBS's parent company, Paramount, quietly settled for $16 million.
Trump bragged that the actual value of the deal could grow, once you count all the pro-Trump ads now running across Paramount's channels.
Insiders say the Trump-CBS feud isn't just about cash.
Sources told Semafor that O'Donnell flew to Florida to film the interview, originally planned for New York, suggesting the network went out of its way to accommodate the president.
CBS has undergone a massive shakeup following its merger with Skydance Media, helmed by Trump ally David Ellison.
The company installed Bari Weiss of The Free Press as its new editor-in-chief.
Since Weiss took over, the network has faced a wave of layoffs.
At least one producer claims the cuts hit staff of colour hardest, while white producers were shifted to other departments.

CBS also aired a strange clip of Trump's Halloween antics this week, raising more eyebrows.
During a White House Halloween event, Trump welcomed kids from military and foster care families.
Dressed in costumes, the kids lined up for treats from the president and First Lady Melania Trump. But instead of dropping a candy bar into one child's bag, Trump did something else. Trump tapped the bar on the child's head three times, then left it there.
One child, dressed as DJ Marshmello, looked confused and walked away with the bar still perched on their head.
"Is he OK? Why did he do that?" one X user asked.
Another wrote, "Wow, always gotta ruin every event."
"Does he think that's funny?" another added.
