Another dancing duo was eliminated from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing this evening. Unfortunately, it was the end of the road for Gladiator star Harry Leslie Aikines-Aryeetey and his professional dance partner Karen Hauer.

It comes after they danced an energetic Samba to the song Samba by Gloria Estefan last night. The room was bouncing as they colourfully paraded around the dance floor on Saturday's show but it wasn't enough to save them this evening. They sadly found themselves in the dreaded dance off after scoring 30 points from the judges. Right there, ready to battle for their place in the dance off with them, were drag star La Voix and Alja Škorjanec, who were the bottom of the leaderboard last night with just 29 points. They took on the Foxtrot to Cass Elliot's Make Your Own Kind of Music. However, after judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Motsi Mabuse unanimously voted to save La Voix, Harry was eliminated from the competition.

After hearing his name read out, Harry was visibly gutted. He embraced his dance partner in a huge hug as Tess said that his "positive energy" will be missed in the studio.

Harry replied: "No, I appreciate that. Thank you. Bit first things first, I need to thank Karen. Genuinely, you have given me an opportunity to shine and understood my crazy brain. I'm such a logical person when trying to dance."

He added: "I just want to thank you for the hard work and effort that you have put in to me. I want to thank everyone here too as this has been a dream come true."

The studio erupted into cheers and applause as Harry continued: "This is a celebration. I spoke to my daughter and she doesn't like seeing her dad sad. When she saw me sad last week, she was like 'daddy, what's wrong?' and this is where I can show everyone that no matter what happens, there is always a silver lining."

Karen then responded saying that they have "had the best time" and described Harry as a "gentleman" and "hard worker", before adding: "It was an honour to teach you."

Fans of the BBC show were absolutely gutted as they said that Harry was "robbed". One fan wrote: "Feel like Harry had more potential than he showed. Whether he looked better than the rest at the opening night but just wasn't able to be as good or he was held back by choreography, idk but definitely felt like he'd have done better."

While another penned: "Words can't describe how much Harry was robbed. Jesus. #Strictly."

One fan admitted to being "bereft" that Harry was leaving the show, writing: "Really glad that La Voix is through to next week but so sad to see Harry go home as he is such a fantastic personality. Even more I am always bereft when Karen Hauer exits the ballroom." They followed their post with tearful emojis.
