was left writhing in agony in her bed after a night at the theatre ended in her being unable to move. Even worse, the star's husband, News UK's James Haggar, was unable to drive her to hospital as he'd recently drunk alcohol, forcing him to make a panicked 999 call instead.

Naga has now revealed to the fearful three-word plea he made to ambulance operators: "She cannot move." A gynaecologist subsequently diagnosed her with adenomyosis, a condition affecting the uterus lining and causing it to grow into the muscle wall. The NHS states that although some sufferers have no symptoms, others experience debilitating pelvic pain and very heavy menstrual bleeding.

She told : "I'm very lucky because you have to pick your moments with partners to tell them about everything you go through - you don't want to do it on the first date or the first time you sleep together.

"Many of the women I speak to have wonderful husbands, but they'd had to learn as adults about what their partners were going through, because we're not taught any of it in school."

Naga also shared that she underwent surgical sterilisation as she and her husband made an early decision not to have children.

The BBC Breakfast star confessed they "liked the life" they led and her mother eventually understood her choice.

She opted to have the coil removed later, but as the Radio 5 Live star knew she never wanted children, she chose to get sterilised in her mid-40s instead.
