According to a report in the Journal of Surgical Case Reports, the victim told doctors he had no chest pain, shortness of breath, cough, or fever, but had been oozing pus under his right nipple for 10 days.

After complaining of pus, he was treated at Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam, where doctors found that the blade of the knife had penetrated his right shoulder bone and was still lodged in his chest. 8 years ago, there was a knife in a fight

The report dated May 31, 2025, states that eight years ago, he was subjected to a violent assault in which he was stabbed multiple times on his face, back, chest, and abdomen. After the incident, he was given first aid at a clinic, and his wounds were stitched up. But he was not sent for an X-ray or CT scan due to limited resources.
