The US President's remarks come after repeated sharp comments on India's Russian oil trade. European countries issued a warningDuring this, Trump, speaking about European countries buying oil from Russia, said, "It turns out European countries are buying oil from Russia, and as you know, I'm very close to India. I'm very close to the Indian Prime Minister. I spoke with him recently and wished him a happy birthday. We have a very good relationship. He also made a beautiful statement. But you know, I've imposed sanctions on them."
Trump said, "China is currently imposing very high tariffs on the United States, but I'm willing to do more, but not if the people I'm fighting for are buying oil from Russia. Russia will easily compromise if oil prices are low, and oil prices have already fallen significantly."
Tariffs may be reduced after November 30A ray of hope now appears in the ongoing trade tensions between India and the United States. The United States may soon lift the tariffs imposed on India. On Thursday, India's Chief Economic Advisor, V. Anantha Nageswaran, announced that punitive duties imposed on certain imports would be lifted after November 30th. If this happens, relations between the two countries could once again become cordial.
