Some things are too important to ignore. What’s happening in Palestine is one of them.
Right now, children are starving to death. Hospitals are being bombed. Families are being wiped out in seconds. And the world is standing by watching.
Since this latest Israeli army onslaught in Gaza began, over 63,000 people have been killed. Nearly 19,000 of them are children. These aren’t just numbers on a screen. They’re teachers, journalists, nurses and students. Kids clutching toys. Mums and dads who just wanted to live in peace - like anyone else.

Imagine putting your baby to bed not knowing if they’ll wake up. Imagine doctors forced to operate on the injured without anaesthetic. Imagine drinking dirty water because it’s the only option left. Entire families are being buried under rubble.
This is not a war. It is a genocide. Meanwhile, in the West Bank where I live, the violence takes another form. Life is suffocated by military checkpoints, walls, and armed settlers. These illegal settlers - protected by the Israeli state - burn homes, torch olive trees, shoot at cars and even stone school buses.
More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank in the last two years - including over 200 children. It’s hard to survive, let alone thrive, when even going to work can get you arrested or even killed.
And yet, through it all, we are still standing. Still hoping. Still striving for decent stable jobs. Still dreaming of a life where our children can grow up free, safe and with dignity. So, what can you do?
You can write to your MP. Demand an immediate ceasefire. Push the UK government to stop selling arms to Israel. To end trade with illegal settlements. To suspend the UK-Israel Trade Agreement. To back the recognition of the State of Palestine, and to end to the illegal occupation.
These aren’t radical demands - they are the bare minimum for basic human rights. What’s happening in Gaza and the West Bank isn’t just a Palestinian issue. It’s a human issue.
If you believe in fairness, in justice, in protecting the innocent - then this matters. We need your voice. We need your support. Now more than ever.
