The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain - with people living in areas told to prepare an 'emergency kit' for their homes.
It comes as for many parts of the UK. The yellow warning will be in place for much of southwest England from 6pm on until 6am on Saturday, with meteorologists expecting high winds in addition to heavy downpours, causing . The update from the reads: "Rain developing early Friday becomes heavier and more persistent later on Friday and persists into Saturday before easing from Saturday late morning. 20 to 40mm of rain is likely to build up widely by Saturday morning and 50 to 75mm rain is likely over and near areas of higher ground, especially Dartmoor. Conditions will also be quite windy."
The warning by the Met Office also included advice for people living in warning areas - with those in locations prone to flooding told to prepare a flood plan and an 'emergency kit' containing essential supplies.

It said: "Check if your property could be at risk of flooding. If so, consider preparing a flood plan and an emergency flood kit.
"Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.

"People cope better with power cuts when they have prepared for them in advance. It’s easy to do; consider gathering torches and batteries, a mobile phone power pack and other essential items.
"Be prepared for warnings to change quickly: when a weather warning is issued, the Met Office recommends staying up to date with the weather forecast in your area."

Elsewhere, plenty of wet weather is forecast this weekend - though some areas could stay mostly dry.
Much of the rain on Good Friday is expected to fall on areas to the west, though patchy showers are likely across the country.
The Met Office's Deputy Chief Meteorologist Steven Keates said: “The Easter weekend is set to bring changeable weather for many. Some areas may experience near dry conditions all weekend, whilst others may see heavy rain.
“We are keeping a close eye on an area of low pressure which sinks away to the south on Friday. This could bring with it some heavy, and possibly even disruptive rain for parts of southwest England, and also parts of Northern Ireland and south Wales.
"This will bring the potential for some difficult travelling conditions, with a lot of spray on the roads, and it’s important people keep an eye on our forecast as things evolve over the coming day or so.”
