A Hawaiian Airlines plane has been forced to make an emergency landing after a mobile phone caught fire on-board a plane.
According to reports, the Airbus A330 had set off from Honolulu and had to stop at Haneda Airport.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism confirmed that a mobile phone was the cause of the fire.

Luckily, quick-thinking staff stored the device in a fireproof bag. The fire did not spread to the cabin.
