Emmerdale's Kim Tate 'secretly onto Dr Crowley' as death twist 'sealed'

Fans of Emmerdale think Kim Tate is playing new man Dr Crowley at his own game amid a horrifying scam.

Joe Tate, Kim's sort-of-grandson, is being blackmailed by his former accomplice and surgeon Crowley. The latter wants Joe to steal money from wealthy Kim and transfer it into his account.

Things took a turn on Wednesday as Joe was told he needed to drug Kim, handed some supplies by evil Crowley and his new accomplice Shaun. But amid scenes hinting Kim could be in serious danger, fans think they've worked out a death twist.

Kim so far has not realised she's being played by the new man in her life, 'Eddie'. Eddie is actually Dr Crowley who is targeting Joe in a revenge plot after recent events, while he wants to get his hands on Kim's money.

He started a romance with the Home Farm owner before his identity was revealed to fans, and Joe realised what was going on. Joe has tried to stop it, but he's yet to tell Kim what's happening.

That said, fans think Kim already knows and that she's playing along with the scam. They also questioned whether she could end up taking her own revenge, killing Crowley for targeting her.

Viewers just aren't convinced that Kim would allow the wool to be pulled over her eyes by someone she barely knows. Crowley had been in and out of Home Farm too months ago, so might she have seen him back then?

Joe's obvious disapproval of Crowley and their romance must also be ringing alarm bells, as well as the fact that Joe is desperate for Kim to invest in a new business venture - while she has no idea the money is for Crowley.

Fans don't think Kim would allow herself to be scammed, let alone by both Joe and Crowley. She keeps making comments about how Joe has her back and how she's glad they are a team, while she's keen for everyone to like her new flame too.

So has she actually cottoned onto what's happening, and is she plotting to take Crowley down? Could Joe have secretly told Kim the truth, and might they be scheming together?

Viewers are convinced, taking to X with theories that Kim has to already know about the scam, and she's simply stringing them along. One fan said: "Kim's not that dumb," as another added: "I hope Kim is on to Crowley."

A third fan commented: "Kim knows. Bet she's just saying she'll invest her cash for a laugh." A further theory read: "If Queen Kim isn't playing Creepy Crawley I am going to be well p****d."

Another fan suggested: "Kim could get rid of Crowley in a heartbeat," while one predicted: "Would Kim kill Crowley if she discovered his betrayal?" A final comment said: "Unless there is a twist, like Kim knows, the Crowley thing doesn’t make sense."
