Coronation Street fans 'work out new owner of The Rovers' after cryptic spoiler

There could be a new owner of The Rovers on very soon.

New spoilers have left fans convinced one character in particular will be eyeing up the place after a clue. The pub is currently run by .

But when it emerged that the money the pair used to buy the pub came from Stephen Reid's account after he'd stolen it from Carla Connor, and demanded the money back. She made it clear that until they paid up the pub was now hers, and she was the owner.

Carla has given them months to pay up to which they have not, and Carla recently confirmed she would need to sell the pub for the money after drama with her partner Lisa Swain and Lisa's daughter Betsy. Jenny was keen to become the official owner again and buy it from Carla, telling Carla to give her priority when selling.

But with Jenny's money now at risk amid Daisy's scheming with her mum Christina Boyd and mystery Dom, who is faking a romance with Jenny to get her to invest with him, there's every chance someone else will be the buyer. Spoilers for next week certainly tease someone doesn't want the place to sell.

In episodes next week, Glenda Shuttleworth makes it her mission to stop the sale when some potential buyers come looking around the pub. She sparks suspicions with Carla's nephew Ryan Connor who decides to keep an eye on her.

As the potential new owners look about the place, Glenda tries to put them off and it's clear she doesn't want Carla accepting any offers. So what is she up to, and why is she sabotaging the sale?

Could it be out of loyalty to Jenny, or perhaps fears she may lose her job? Could it be an ulterior motive, and might she be trying to get the pub herself?

Fans certainly think so, believing the spoilers might be a hint that Glenda herself may try to buy the famous pub and be the next Rovers landlady. Taking to social media, they shared their thoughts that this might be her big plan, and they loved it.

One viewer shared of their prediction about Glenda being the new owner: "Maybe Glenda takes on a secret buyer and Glenda and Eva share ownership of the Rovers." Another fan said: "I think maybe Glenda and George could end up owning the Rovers."

A third viewer commented: "I need the gorg Glenda to be actual landlady." A further comment suggested: "Hmm, Glenda putting prospective buyers off, I wonder if she might buy it!"
