Drone Attack in Jalandhar: One Injured, Multiple Houses Damaged in Midnight Blast

In yet another act of aggression amid rising tensions with India, Pakistan launched a drone attack targeting civilian areas in Jalandhar, Punjab. A powerful explosion occurred between 1:30 AM and 1:45 AM in Kangniwal village on Old Hoshiarpur Road, causing significant damage and injuring one migrant laborer.

Blast Damages Homes and Vehicles

According to locals, the blast shattered glass windows and damaged doors of at least five to six houses. A car parked on the street was also severely damaged. The injured man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Residents described the moment as terrifying, with many rushing out of their homes in panic.

Residents Recall Multiple Explosions

Witnesses reported hearing 5 to 6 loud explosions in quick succession. Local resident Arjun Kumar said he saw “something like a drone” flying before the blasts. Another resident, Harvinder Singh, confirmed the explosions sounded very close and caused panic in the area.

Fire Department Confirms Drone Activity

Naresh Kumar, a fire department official, stated that he saw drones flying in the sky around 1:45 AM, followed by multiple explosion sounds. Although the exact locations of all blasts are still being identified, the fear among residents is palpable, with many expressing concern about further attacks.

Police Begin Investigation, Villagers on Edge

Following the attack, police visited the blast site briefly and promised a detailed investigation in the morning. Locals, however, expressed dissatisfaction with the delayed response, demanding tighter security and surveillance in border states like Punjab.
