Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): Chief executive officer of the district Panchayat Neha Jain has issued show-cause notices to five sub-engineers of Ashta Janpad and nine village Panchayat secretaries.
According to official sources, they neglected the work of the e-KYC, Prime Minister Awas Yojna (rural areas) and the Jal Gana Samvardhan Yojna.
Jain said if the officials failed to boost the progress of the projects, they would face the music. She issued the show-cause notices at a meeting in the auditorium of the Janpad Panchayat on Thursday.
She reviewed the progress of the development schemes launched by the Rural Development Department. She directed the officials to carry out the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, housing scheme, entire e-KYC, Nal Jal Yojna, plantation, and other projects.
Jain directed officials to complete the entire e-KYC work without any delay. She reviewed ward-wise and village-wise progress of the work. She said the houses, approved by the government, should be completed.
The secretaries against whom the notices were issued are from Hakimpur, Aroliya, Jawar, Saindhokhedi, Shambhukhedi, Gudakhedi, Guradiya, Bajapta, Piplya, Salarsi, and Bamuliya Kinchi village Panchayats.
She said the work of restoring water bodies should be completed before the arrival of the monsoon.
She issued show-cause notices to sub-engineers Anil Gupta, Deeksha Nagar, Mayur Rathore, Anil Khare and Sanjeev Goswami for lack of progress in Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan.
Several officials of the district administration, including the chief executive officer of Janpad, Amit Kumar Vyas, were present at the meeting.
