Adobe and YouTube are teaming up to make short-form content creation a little easier. Announced at Adobe MAX 2025 in Los Angeles, the new partnership will integrate Adobe Premiere’s mobile editing tools directly into YouTube Shorts, giving creators a way to cut, mix, and post all within one workflow.
Through a new “Create for YouTube Shorts” space coming soon to the Premiere mobile app, users will be able to edit videos with multi-track timelines, AI-powered sound effects, Firefly-based visual generation, and polished templates before publishing straight to YouTube. The move could bridge the gap between pro-level editing and the fast-turnaround style of social video.
Adobe says the update is about “meeting creators where they are,” while YouTube aims to give its massive Shorts community more flexible tools beyond what the app currently offers. Creators will be able to use exclusive effects, titles, and transitions, or share their own templates to spark new trends.
For both companies, the partnership feels like a natural overlap YouTube’s platform reach meets Adobe’s creative infrastructure. And for the millions of Shorts creators juggling multiple apps to edit and upload, this could make the process faster, smoother, and a lot more powerful.
