Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa has announced that users of the quick commerce platform can now access a range of Airtel SIM services through the app, including delivery in 10 minutes.
Taking to X, Dhindsa said, “Starting today, customers can get a SIM delivered and choose to get a new prepaid or postpaid connection, or switch their existing number to Airtel.”
He added, “@airtelindia has also created a new flow which allows customers to complete SIM activation with a simple self-verification using Aadhaar at home – no store visits, no paperwork.”
According to Dhindsa, the service has been rolled out in Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, and several other cities.
This isn’t the platform’s first 10-minute delivery service.
ET had reported in March that Blinkit has partnered with appliance and electronics brand Lloyd to deliver air conditioners within minutes, anticipating a surge in demand amid predicted heat waves this year.
