The date of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. HTET 2024 exam has finally been released. Candidates who have registered for this should now get ready for the exam. The Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH) has confirmed that the examination will be conducted on 26 and 27 July 2025. This exam will be conducted in two days and will include all three levels. Level 1 includes Primary Teacher (PRT), Level 2 includes Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Level 3 includes Post Graduate Teacher.
Why was the exam delayed?
The HTET exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 7 and 8 December 2024, but it was postponed several times. After December it was rescheduled for 8 and 9 February 2025, but it was postponed again. The main reason for this delay was that important posts like Chairman and Secretary were vacant on the board. Now appointments have been made on these posts. In such a situation, the board is fully prepared for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. BSEH Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma has said that the exam will be conducted as per the new schedule.
Examination centers will be in home districts.
Many times it happens that candidates have to make unnecessary travels for the exam. Keeping this in mind, examination centers will be allotted to the candidates in their district. The same rule was applicable last year as well. Apart from this, strict steps will also be taken by the board to prevent cheating. All examination centers will be monitored by CCTV and mobile jammers will be installed, which will create an atmosphere of fair and transparent examination.
No negative marks on the exam
Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode. Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the exam, in which 1 mark will be given for each correct answer, while there is no negative marking for wrong answers, that is, candidates can also guess the questions whose answers they do not know.
Candidates should note, that no new registration will be accepted. Only those candidates who have applied earlier will be able to appear in the exam. There will be no change in the existing eligibility criteria including age limit and qualification. Admit cards for this exam can be released on the official website in July.
