RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons has sent a message that many Chelsea fans will see as perfect with transfer talks for him to seal a Stamford Bridge switch still ongoing.
Talks for the 22-year-old and his fellow DutchmenJorrel Hato began around the same time with the latter seeing his switch from Ajax confirmed this past weekend. That deal was quite clearly the first priority and now it has been wrapped up, attention can fully go onto Simons.
Leipzig have been focused on other matters though, with talks for Benjamin Sesko to join Manchester United ongoing while Harvey Elliot is being pursued as a potential Simons replacement. However, football.london understands that there is confidence a deal will still go through with further positive talks taking place this week.

In an entirely separate deal, the Blues are also still pursuing a move for Alejandro Garnacho with selling set to become a priority for Ruben Amorim very soon as £69.7million is seemingly guaranteed to be spent on Sesko.
Another two attackers possibly coming in is somewhat of a surprise considering that Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro have already joined. Noni Madueke and Joao Felix have departed to make way for those arrivals with Christopher Nkunku also expected to seal a permanent exit.
Exactly like Simons, the Frenchman prefers to play behind a striker but can be deployed off the left. As such, he will likely be the replacement for Nkunku who joined from Leipzig just a few years ago.
While discussions have been ongoing, Simons has remained professional and continued training at Leipzig with that evidenced by numerous updates to his social media. There was a noticeable change to his Instagram profile last week as any affiliation to Leipzig was removed.
Following that, he and Sesko were omitted from the pre-season friendly defeat to Atalanta. In the meantime, Simons has remained active with his latest update likely to be something that Chelsea supporters will love.
Via Instagram, Simons reposted a video from the official Europa League account of him in action for PSV against Arsenal back when he was just 19.

The caption of his story read: "@PSV [red and white heart emoji]." The 27-second reel shows him putting in a very bright display with the Dutch giants winning 2-0.
If he completes a move to Chelsea, Simons will be hoping for more positive performances and results against the Gunners.
